The number of used cloudlets is calculated on an hourly basis in the following way:
- RAM is based on the peak value used over the hour
- CPU is based on the average usage over the hour
The greater of these values (but not both of them combined) is considered as the actual environment consumption, which will be charged from your account according to the fee structure.
For example, if during one hour your average CPU usage is 2400 MHz (6 cloudlets), and your highest RAM usage is 1024 MiB (8 cloudlets), you’ll be charged for 8 cloudlets only – not for a combined total of 14 units.
Discounts for reserved and dynamic cloudlet usage are calculated based on the total sum of all cloudlets per environment.
